Welcome Lil,
I envy Don - my wife cannot see (or care for that matter) the difference between bomb a torpedo... Well.. At least she finally realized that there is no point in trying to convince me to stop building models and I even hear some approval noises from time to time :D

True Lil but what a great way to end a distinguished career are you sure he can build one in 2 hours

I read that post to my wife and she got a laugh out of it. It is brave of you to step into this silly maelstrom. I'm lucky if my wife can tell the difference between a ship and an airplane but I'm happy that she likes them anyway.

Wow Lil, you have picked up a bit of aircraft knowledge yourself! ( I don't know what you're talking about) But the part over the North Sea is very entertaining, although I'm sure the rest of us don't do such things

Zany? ZANY?!! Never!! A little warped, maybe. Twisted. Maladjusted. A few bricks shy of a load, but "zany"?
Nah!

My wife used to run the supersonic wind tunnels at Farnborough cadged lifts with any pilot there who would take her up, thinks JT8D is perfume and Merlins play music. I guess that's why I stick to ships.
