Take a thorough look at the kit. There aren't any instructions for that one that I could spot. Let me know if you find any.

Heheh, I went through exactly the same process. It looks like there are a fair number of the kits, both the simpler and more complex ones, that don't have any instructions, diagrams or build photos and unless you're particularly familiar with the prototype, some of these kits may be impossible to assemble?

No, start building. I suggested a donation for the contest to help compensate Zios time in these great models. Donate when you can.

I sometimes suspect that Zio is Italian code for "puzzle." In the past, I've found that (in the most part) the parts numbering system used is logical and pretty much in the sequence of assembly. I've also found that lots of pictures correlates with "no instructions." It does magnify the challenge for we masochists.

Hey, this is kind of off topic, but I just realized that my old, old geocities page no longer exists. I had an old repaint there of the Bf109 called 112realcolors.jpg that was an Avia S199 version of Zio's kit that I had permission to repaint. Does anyone have an old copy of that they could send me? It appears I don't have a copy of my own work anymore.

A little help here please.
I saw where Don said he had made a donation and being fairly new to this endeavor and not very good. Yet to finish anything before I throw it away, most everything that I have has come from ecardmodels, fiddlers green or paper tiger, so how do you know and/or decide how much of a donation to make. Don't want to get anything and not make a donation, but at the same time to not want to make one that is inappropriate either on the low side or high side. Thank you as always for your insight and guidance to us newbies. Joe |
