I had a similar thought. I'm thinking of trying a major repose on one of the mounted knights when they become available; something charging or rearing, sword held high, etc. It might take more cutting, layering and tweaking than it's worth, but it would be an interesting exercise.

Chris, I checked the bio on Zio's website, and the face on your knight is indeed the man himself. I would bet that the heraldy on the shield belongs to his family. About 25 years ago he was involved in the design and production of white metal Military Miniatures, and had two lines of figures going - Grifo and Ares. His most recent paper modeling design work has been the 90mm knights and soldiers, combining his love of both hobbies.
