Just seeing this one today, Douglas. Excellent! What are these flaws of which you speak? Like gnats, they are no see 'ums to my eye.

Don

PS: One of my very few words of Italian. Ape (Ah-pay) = bee. A Naval person such as yourself will, of course, remember the Royal Navy insect class river gunboats with the unlikely names - Aphis, Bee, Gnat . . .

Thanks Don. I did not immediately make the connection to the China gunboats. It came to me eventually though.

Not to get too far afield your splendid Se5, Douglas, but as I work away in the reading room of the Military History Institute, I notice that Osprey will soon release a book on the Yangtze River gunboats and look what is on the cover: http://www.ospreypublishing.com/stor..._9781849084086 (those side-by-side funnels are pretty evident).

Very Nice! It would be great to see a JSC / HMV quality waterline model.
