Prudenzio Contest Huzzar 1807
After seeing a few builds of the figures I thought i join in before starting back on the zara. I started with the base and then the horse wanted to see what this horse looked like in reality and how big it be.

Hi Doc, that's another way to build it, yes, from the base up. Looks great and so far so good. Would love to see more of your work on this.

You believe that the paper of 180gs/m can cause problems in small parts?

I use 80gsm recycled (printed on one side) paper. Maybe I'm building at half size. That way, when I put PVA glue over parts that need shaping up after gluing together, it is easier to handle like doing clay sculpture. The paper soaked with PVA does not tend to resist but will obey as you curve, bend or shape it. Thicker paper is firm though tends to bounce back and is harder to comply if you're doing curves.
