Smile

Hello after long delay I started my Gauntlet. This model have some issues, Zio Prudenzio make a Gladiator kit, and use this model to backdate the Gauntlet, but a good study of three view plans show many diferences the most obvious: The Gauntlet kit have a two extra pairs of struts, and a simple windshield (the kit have two pair of struts (like a Gladiator) and a not standart windshield), for make a Danish Gauntlet Mk II this propeller is a problem but is three blade. For this I intent use a Sthalhart Gladiator Mk II propeller.

I make the fuselage and inferior wings whitout problems. This a Zio standart as always...

More soon...

Smile Resume the building...

Thank's Wyvern

After long delay more pics of Gauntlet... I unhappy because I believe not finish until end of contest. The model have many mistakes, I found another crappy error! The struts all is from Gladiator but in the Gauntlet, all is more short, and wing struts have a pronuncied angle. I tried made the convertion, but I believe lost the time to able to entrie...

In this update I made cownling and engine, fix the tail and made undercarriage.

The Zios invent a some parts in undercarriage I deleted this part (a brace strut in rear position), and convert the main legs and struts to Gauntlet shape...

This is results at the moment. The main cabane struts waiting cut to proper high, after the model received the fist cables, wheels and I fix in the jig...

Regards my friends...

Fine work, especially in this small scale. The neatness of the tiny cowling blisters are really impressive.

Thank's my friends!

But unhappy I not time to finish at the contest, I lost by few hours, but I finish the model

I started gluing the superior wing in cabane struts, but the struts (from gladiator) is too high, so I cut 3 mm for made the correct high...

I add more detail in the tail, atuactors, and cables...

I started the rigging of central cabane...

I made rigging of undercarriage and use for exaust pipes a orthodontical wire...

I made the struts, and glue the second set in right place. All struts cut 3 or 4 mm, the rear struts of middle cut 5 mm to gluing right...

I use Stalhart Gladiator Fairey propeller, painted the cownling ring and made a correct windshield with tiny cardboard... More detail add: target tube, radio antenna, and full rigging.
