My sweet little birdies

This time I want to make something els.
before I build airplanes, boats, buildings and more.
But i never make a bird in paper so i start with this little birdies
The Goldcrest. (Goudhaantje in Dutch)
You can find the bird on Johan Scherft
I'm not so good to wright a build report but i will try.
I start with cut out all the parts first.
Then i start to glue the body from the top to down.
Glue the tail and the wings and the head together.
Then i glue the head and the legs together.
Now glue the tail first at the body.
Then glue the wings in place.
Now you can glue the head and the legs.
And if every thing is dry glue the bird on the stand.
Here you can use a little branch from your garden to let it look more real.
I use paper for make the branch.
And then it look like this.

hi there blue angel,
you got there first. i am just in the middle of the kingfisher at the moment and the firecrest was going to be my next. super tidy job on yours mate.
did ya download the JPEG or pdf? the JPEG is a lot sharper image.
although johan says use 80 grain paper, i tried a little thicker now i'm having problems with the edges showing and was incredibly difficult making the the top of the shoulder (wing joint) come together.
if your going to do the kingfisher you'll see what i mean. again, well done on yours. looks good as a pair.

Hi Dessy.
I use the PDF file. Betercollors and sharper lines indeed.
And believe the designer to use 80 grams paper that's thick enough for litle birds like this. For me the Kingfisher have to wit for a while, becouse i'm working on two other projects now.
The JSC mustang 1:24 and a Christmas village(no scale) are in progres now.

i dont know why us paper modelers always take on so many projects at once, yes i know its hard not to! .

on the subject of the birds, i am just worried with using the 80 grain paper, in my hands, would end up crushed before i could finish! .

good luck with your other projects. will look out for them.
