I've just had a count up ... there's only 54 birds in there. Room for plenty more yet.

And if 'er indoors starts complaining I'll show her this ...

It makes my ceiling look almost deserted.

Johnny.

PS: Johan's Starling is on the table for tomorrow, but I've got to wire in a new electrical socket spur for a hall heater first. We're getting excessive condensation out there.

Due to rough weather she didn't go shopping, so I couldn't turn off the power and the socket didn't get done ... but 90% of the starling did ... as usual, just the feet to make tomorrow.

question. is there a decent, flight position model of the steller's sea eagle, magpie/crow/raven, or cassowary?
I would appreciate any answers

Starling all done ... Very nice and sturdy model. Still quite a complex build, but being a bigger bird, so much easier to handle ...

What? Well it's a bird, ennit? There are some things that just don't get put on the to-do pile. They get built as soon as they are discovered. Don't be fooled though ... it might look simple, but accessing the tabs to compress the glue can be quite awkward at times.

Found it on Paper-Replika.com.

Keep on snippin' ... Johnny.

There's a Steller's sea eagle on one of the Japanese sites (I'll have to look it up). I've not made this yet, so I'm not sure how good it is.

There's a Raven on Ray O'Bannion's site, but it's perched not flying ...

This one has been double sized and stuffed, and the little one is half normal size.

As for a Magpie, Crow, or Cassowary, I've not seen any, but I'd love a Magpie (if Johan is taking hints )

Johnny.

I found the Steller's Sea Eagle. It's on the Yamaha site ...

Steller's Sea Eagle - Entertainment | YAMAHA MOTOR CO., LTD.

Wings spread, but not quite in flight.

Hi All.
Here is my take on a couple of Johan's magnificent creations. I felt the nuthatch was a bit drab compared to the ones we are getting in the garden this time of year, so I repainted it in breeding plumage. The mount is based on Johan's but with the addition of lots of soggy kitchen roll to 'texture' it up. Same with the wren mounts.

Nice work there Tony. The Nuthatch's new plumage is excellent and I love it's log too. Comparing Johan's nuthatch with Malcolm's one, I assumed Johan's to be a female.

thanks. I believe I can modify the wings to the point having them outstretched. so I'll probably be contributing to the thread real soon.
also thanks johnM for the raven. all I need is a cassowary or emu, and I would be satisfied. any builds on them?
