Just to show ... Here's mine ...

But have y'all seen Johan's build ...

Champion class pimping J, but I got a sneaking feelin' that there's a little bit more than paper in this one.

Keep on snippin' ... Johnny.

For the european goldfinch I used the same design as for the american Goldfinch, but the colours are totally different. And no Johnny this is also strictly paper, exept for the hands . Colours are more vibrant though because paint is always more bright and more detailed then printwork. There is always a little loss in the printing, especially in the primary colours and the blacks.

I believe you Johan. It was the so realistic textures on the back of the neck that led me to think other materials were in use. I gather this is a hand painted model, so I guess there's no point in asking when and where it will be released.

It is a thing of extreme beauty in my eyes. Again I bow in respect to a true artist.

Keep on snippin' ... Johnny.

And Johan's Jaybird joins my gang ...

I didn't realise that Jays were such big birds. Not so easy a build even if it is big. I ran into several 'Don't wanna fit here' bits during the build, and there's two small oval unnumbered bits that I still haven't figured out where they go.

In retrospect, I think I've misinterpreted the instructions in a couple of places around the wings, but I think I've sussed it now. So I'll probably be doing a rebuild at a later date, but he looks fine up on a shelf for now.

Time to crack out another one of Malcolm's masterpieces ... The Owl maybe ... ?

Keep on snippin' ... Johnny.

More inevitable Johan examples - when is someone else going to bite the bullet and design some of these strange non-linear organic structures? Too many techno-whizz kids out there - let's soften some edges..... John M - I too have built the jay without any idea where those two little oval bits go - and I am also painting up the goldfinch in it's European guise - so much prettier...

Oh how I wish I had the brush skills to even contemplate such repaints. I'm afraid I'm too old and totally reliant on others for such things nowadays.

Nice to see someone else's builds for a change Tony ... even if they are better looking than mine.

Keep on snippin' ... Johnny.

Two very attractive builds, Tony.
I love birds and this thread is a refreshing change from all the mechanical build thrads I follow.
