Nice set of birds from Johan Scherft. I built the cardinal a while back.

The new bird coming soon from Johan rumor puzzles me a little. On his face book page he mentions that he has recovered an old model Robin from an exhibition, and he is dissecting it to make up a publishable template.

In my archives I have a template for this Robin that I acquired while surfing a few years ago. I made this up and it was posted on this thread many moons ago, but of course that picture is no longer there due to the Photobucket fiasco. I have queried this with Johan, but he has not replied.

Of course, here I would normally post a picture of said Robin, but again, thanks to Photobucket, I now have to learn a new method of posting such things.

It's in the Google Drive if you want to compare, Kev.
There's another one you may not have seen too. I've not made that one.

Thanks, will have a compare once I have bought and have sight of the new one. Or maybe it will be a freebie!

He's been working on it, or other things, for a while now, so I have no idea when it will be ready.

No rush for me, as in the meantime, as you know, no time to build! Havent done anything since the mill! Still have an owl to finish.

Incidentally he is good at replying to mails, but it sometimes takes a while when he is busy......so I am sure you will get a reply.

Digging a little deeper into where I got the Johan Robin from ... It is still available among a few others as a free download here ... https://www.origami-shop.com/en/pape...2_218_380.html

I have the Crested Tit as well, but I've not made it up yet.

Was the Crested Tit the other one you referred to that I may not have seen?

I have had a look at both and going by the construction method and artwork these may be early works by Johan?

Yes, the Crested Tit is the other one I mentioned before. I first downloaded these a couple of years ago now, but they are still available.

I'm wondering if Johan has forgotten he gave them away. He was surprised to find that his old designs for the Sparrows, Thrush, and others were still available through Ben Fenten's HMV site. They may be a different design style, but they are still excellent realistic models.

I just checked Ben's site and he doesn't seem to have any left ... BUT HE DOES HAVE A BIRDMOBILE OSPREY. http://www.kartonmodellbau.de/epages...chString=Birds

Just checked again ... I was looking under the wrong heading ... All the old Johan birds ARE still there ... as well as all the Birdmobile kits. http://www.kartonmodellbau.de/epages...ies/fun/animal
