Head and neck twisted a bit and body stuffed to shape ... Rolled tissue bones to give a thicker wing front and 3D claws ... Rolled tissue stuffed legs for 3D effect. I tried to do a 3D job on the feet too, but failed miserably on them. The wonky wings came about by my misinterpreting the instructions. Google doesn't do a good job on Czech text. It added to the startled effect though.

New bird model in Canon Creative Park.

I've downloaded it but haven't printed it yet. Trying to decide whether to build it standard or go straight in with an enlarged one.

I've got a Disney Bluebird to finish first though. It's quite a big shrink from the original design, so it's far from a straightforward build.

This may take a while, so y'all please feel free to beat me to it with the Albatross.

Bluebird is available from L-Paper if you want it. There's a lot of pages of excellent models to scroll through before you find it, and the download costs a few bucks, but not too many.

Johan Scherft has a model of Cardinal, it came out in a book he did a couple of years ago.

Is that a real flower Gary, or is it a china one? Of course, if it is a paper one ... please publish it or the URL.

The finished result looks gorgeous. No wonder Mum pinched it. Still, it just means that you can have the pleasure of building another one now.

On Johan's Facebook page there's a video showing how he converted his (free) wren into a singing version. It's very good and the method should be adaptable to most of his bird models.
