Ok, not far off. Still a Gerry Anderson "marionation".
Thanks for the clarification!

Gerry Anderson designs were pretty cool. Wishing positive things for Cammie.

Thanks for the thoughts y'all.
So, our first visit, after several symptoms, came to be a diagnosis of diabetes. She was not enthused about the daily insulin injections. Being the dad to a Type 1 diabetic son, I have considerable experience with symptoms and treatments of diabetes. Took the baby girl back to the vet, the blood sugar test showed a glucose of 56. Knowing I had not over medicated, the vet and I decided to start checking her blood sugar frequently. Having extra supplies, this proved a non factor. After some research, I tried to check blood sugar using the pads of her feet. Needless to say, she was not a fan. With a little more research, I found that kitties do not have a lot of nerve endings in the ears. So, I tried that. Brave little girl didn't even flinch. After a week of testing, I determined her blood sugars ran a constant low! (hypoglycemic) Using corn syrup, water, and a syringe, I managed to get her to keep some food and water down. Not easy for an adult cat! Our latest challenge, is focusing on her meds ( laxatone) and manually drinking water to try and get the digestive system working top notch. She does well, and things are starting to move forward (no joke intended!) Cammie has started eating again, drinking, and processing the above the items. Perhaps, life is coming back to normal. She still loves her afternoon lap time! Thanks again y'all!

Excellent news Ray!
Cats really like the electric water fountains - try one. The filters are apt to be expensive, so work off that rather then the type of filters. Our cats use one for a dog (it's higher so they drink standiing) but they are perfectly happy. It is twice as large as a cat one, but the filters are half the price! @

Hi Ray,
Like Kevin,,, Great News for Cammie. And you are a wonderful dad for her. Hope everything goes well for her. I had a kitty with me when I was on the road playing music. His name was Ludalf. He wound up getting Diabetes. I gave him shots for it until he eventually went to be with the Good Lord. Hope you and Cammie have a good long life together. GOD BLESS YOU BOTH. Gary PS, We have a Petmate Fresh Flow water fountain for our kids. I clean it every week for them, and the filters are not expensive to replace each time I clean it. We also use reverse osmosis filtered water that we drink as well in it for our kids. You can get this water at Walmart in the water fountain they have there. We have five of the three gallon water jugs we fill, and then put the water in a plastic jug and then into the fridge. My wife makes coffee from it as well. This is the best water. |

Hi Guys,
Just for fun,,, Here are a few pictures I took of Brumby and Callie getting frisky with each other. They do this from time to time and we call it a sibling rivalry. After all they are brother and sister. They sleep together and wash each other too. But when they get rowdy like this I get a little bit on edge because I worry about them getting too much into it and maybe hurting each other. ( I DON'T WANT ANYONE TO LOOSE AN EYE ) Or get hurt. But usually they quit after a couple minutes. ANYWAY,,, I hope you get a kick out of these pictures. Best Regards, Gary |

Dont worry, they won't t get hurt. In our 4 there are two combinations that do not get on, but despite occasional spats there are never injuries (touch wood). Just a bit of lost fur and pride!
Not even in fights with intruders is there anything serious - odd scratch and fur again. But they are cats at the end of the day and they do bicker... Very territorial animals - the main cause of issues, followed with the house cats by jealously when a cat is really attached to someone.
