Hi Michik,
I believe that cats are definitely smarter than doge are. They have to be to live the way they do as solitary hunters. As for blind cats,,, You guys are so wonderful to guide them and care for them during their lives. You are great Dads. God has a special place in heaven for folks like you. And for Mary,,, Love the picture of your finished Cat Bus model. Would you be willing to share more pictures of it so we can see it from different angles? I forgot where you obtained the Cat Bus model. Would you tell me again please? Thanks, Gary |

Thanks for the kind words Gary. As Michik and Jeff have pointed out, blind cats really don’t require that much special attention. They adapt quickly and in some interesting ways. We had one blind cat that would stand up like a meerkat, sniffing and listening to get his bearings.
I think cats definitely have more “street” smarts than dogs. As far as domestication goes, cats are still relative new comers so they have to be pretty savvy. Interestingly, of all the domesticated animals, the cat is the only one that domesticated itself. Lee Anne, the trick with that B-17E nose piece is to curve the top petals sufficiently and to keep the bomb aiming panel flat as possible. Here is a photo of the actual “Peggy D” so you can see what I was aiming at. That thing was a pain to design.

I'm so used to the B-17G, so I probably didn't curve them enough. Thanks for the tip, John!

I finished my catbus tonight. Mine is the smaller version. The last 4 legs were a bit difficult to fit to the body, otherwise it was a straightforward build with no real issues.

Sorry about the multiple posts, but I misplaced my good camera and the iPad will only upload 1 picture per post.

The underside. Lots of legs. I had glued the last part of the body wrong, but was able to correct the problem after a careful study of the file in Pepakura Viewer.

This view is reminiscent of the last picture accompanying the credits in the movie "My Neighbor Totoro."
