Hi Kevin, and Texman,
Thanks for the info about chipping. I have never done
that with one of our kids before. But I can see
how it might be a good thing to do.
Hope you and Smudgy are having fun together.
Hope you are getting some modeling done too. ( HE HE )
Here are some recent pictures of Brumby and Callie
helping me with the aircraft I am doing for a Vietnam
Veterans reunion coming up in Sept.
As you can see They love to help alot and even are
my taste testers. ( LOL )

Smudgy has settled a bit but I have had to put my modeling on hold as she still squashes everything. Was going to try again today but it's been too cold, and I've been too tired.......

If it gets to be too much of a problem it may work to put slightly crumpled aluminum foil around the models. My cat hates the sound it makes when it bends underpaw

Hi Paperengineer,
Although your idea might work for some.
I am a CAT and my kids are my shop supervisors, model testers,
and models tasters.
They help me with every build and I would
not have it any other way.
When they are too rowdy with the models I just take
a break and have some one on one time with them.
They are my babies and way more important
than a paper model I can print out and try again to build.
But as for the tin foil,,, It's not good for kitties either.
So we stay away from it.
If I was to put anything around the modeling space,,,
it would have to be some CAT NIP. ( HE HE PURR PURR )

I never knew it was bad for cats

I actually used it to put at the edge of my display so my cat would stop jumping up there while I was gone, not to stop my cat from supervising my builds, but I'm glad I stopped using it!

Why is aluminum foil bad for cats? Unless maybe they eat it which I've never seen any cat do.

I looked it up and found this article Sound of crinkling tin foil can cause seizures in cats - Telegraph not to mention aluminum may/may not be carcinogenic (but isn't everything these days?)

Cats Will get in the garbage if there is foil with cooked meat juice on it. then you find sparkles in the cat box over the next few days. Better that they chomp it into small pieces so it goes through them and not plug them up.

By 'tin foil' I guess you mean aluminum foil since I don't think tin foil has been available since before they quit making tin cans. I keep my garbage can sealed under the sink so they can't get to it and since I really don't eat meat maybe that's why I've never noticed.
I do notice my rubber bands and hair ties disappearing randomly.
