Hi Guys,
Nice posts about your kitty toys.
I am very careful with ours as feathers and strings left out
can be bad for kitties that might eat or chew on them.
I always put those type of toys away when
we are through playing.
Otherwise, paper balls that are not too small
are OK to leave out.
And other paper toys too.

HEY,,,
I think you all know that my wife and I not only have our kitties,
but we are folks that feed roaming kitties in our neighborhood.
We have three that usually come for food at our
feeding spot in front of the house.
We call it our kitty restaurant named ( Roamers ).
We have Hardy the black and white kitty that lives in one of our neighbors garages.
And Tiger who is tiger striped with white markings.
And kitty who is white and tiger striped.
Here are some pictures of all three who on a very rare day
today all showed up here for something to eat.
Of course Brumby and Callie had a field day watching them and even were trying to get out the door to see them.
I tell people if kitties had opposable thumbs like humans do
they would be able to open doors like we do.
( They do know how they work,,, believe me,,, I have seen them
working on the locks and door knobs. )
Hope you enjoy the pictures.
Best Regards,
Gary

Gary,

If your doors had lever handles instead of knobs it would make your cats very happy. Our Hayduke learned very quickly how those things worked. We had to turn them around so that the doors could be locked from outside the rooms that had them when we lived in New Mexico. Here in Asheville all of our doors have knobs, so now he mostly keeps me company for anything I'm doing.

Hi Curt,
I totally agree with what you said about the door handles.
I bet your kitty is still trying to learn how
to use a door knob. ( HE HE )
Our kitty Brumby is still working it out too.
One of these days he will get it done.
I tell everyone that he is smarter than most
of the humans I know. ( HA HA )
By the way,,, You have a real cutie pie there.
Please do post more pictures if you care to.
Best Regards,
Gary

My folks' dog Brooks learned the lever handle thing almost immediately, so they switched them out

Hi VK,

Nice that your doggie is smart.
Most dogs are not that intelligent.
Hope they are able to keep the little
guy in line so he is safe.
Best Regards,
Gary

Callie doesn't use door handles. She just kicks the door open and barges in.

Hi Murph,
Sounds like Callie is a gal who knows what she wants,
and gets it done.
I would enjoy seeing a video of her doing that
to one of your doors. ( HA HA )
Best Regards,
Gary

Nuggie, the little fellow we sadly had to put down, used to open sliding doors. Caused major confusion at one stage as we could not understand what was happening!

He was a feral cat and was both exceptionally clever and affectionate. As a genuine feral he actually walked up to my wife one day and that was that.

Hi Kevin,
I am sad to hear of you and your wife's loss.
Kitties are our children, and keep us happy and healthy.
They are good for your heart and soul.
Kitties are so smart and know who they want to live with.
They pick their humans and I am sure that's what Nuggie did with your wife.
God bless Nuggie.
Hope you can find another kitty to share your home
when the time is right for you both.
Best Regards,
Gary

Grumman (L) & Georgie (R) looking at it snowing this morning. Started at 08-something. Forecast over last couple days went down from 3 inches to 1 or less.
But I'm still skipping model train club today after falling in snow in December and breaking right elbow - which was 4th time I've fallen in snow and broken a bone, or two.

And here's to the memory of Nuggie, a round of nip for all, on the house!
