I know how you guys feel.
My kitty Callie likes to sit on my printer
to look out the window at the birds that land
in our neighbors bush.
I'm just happy that she doesn't bother the
paper when I do print something.
OH WELL,,,
It's Callie and Brumby's house. ( HA HA )
Best Regards,
Gary

Paper Snake and Callie

Hi Guys,
Thought you might enjoy seeing pictures of Callie with the paper snake model I made for fun.
This is the ONLY snake I will ever allow her to play with.
She has found snakes in our yard before and I am glad I
was there to keep her safe from them.
Hope you like the pictures.
Best Regards,
Gary

Very nice Gary!

Smudgy, the new adopted cat from the bush - see below - (we have had her for a year now) had an accident the other day! She is a very bright cat and when I came home she limped up, sat in front of me, and presented her paw - as a dog would!

Bit of dried blood, and couldn't see anything else. But I took her to the vet as she didn't seem right and it turned out she had literally sliced her paw in two - probably landing on one of the security spikes on the top of our surrounding walls. The dried blood had stuck her paw together.

Cost a fortune - ops etc. It got worse as a day later when she came home I suddenly saw her get unsteady on her feet - just for a brief moment. It looked very odd so I took her to the vet again (only five minutes away) and it turned out she was ok but in the middle of an embolism. The blood clot was probably a result of the general anaesthetic used during the op.

Fortunately I got her there so fast the vet was able to prevent any damage. She is now on medication for the rest of her life. Quarter of a pill a day. The risk is brain damage and/or paralysis.

The vet sent me some pics of the op when she was doing this.

Picture 1 - Just we first got her.

Picture 2 - The vet just starting with the op.

Picture 3 - This photo shows the extent to which the paw was split open! Tap on the pic to view it - it is quite amazing that the vet fixed her up and she is now as good as new!

Very comfortable there in her hole!!!!

Thanks for all the wishes regarding Smudgy. She is recovering well, and only favours her paw a little from time to time. She seems to have some feeling in it which is good as everyone was worried about nerve damage. It has "permanent" stitches which will not come out.

She needs to go to a cardiologist at some stage, but I cannot afford it now, so on the medication she stays, which will likely be the case anyway.

Here she is right now asleep at the foot of the bed!
