Owen, I know exactly what you mean. I am still reeling from the vets bills - with all the medication etc it was more then ZAR 5,000 I didn't have and couldn't afford. I think you were lucky with your vet!

So still scrimping, but never mind. I am cheered up every time Smudge bounces over!

Never owner, just "current primary staff member".

Indeed Glen - too true.

Purveyor of food, baby blankets etc.

By the way, for cats baby blankets are a steal. They all love them and the blankets are very cheap (at a cut price store) and fold up to the right size for a cat. We have tons and they can replace all the towels people use.

Even cheaper is to buy some baby blanket material and quickly sew up some small blankets, which is what my wife did the other day......

We had a cellular blanket (think large baby blanket) over the bottom of our bed for Sasha. Kept both her warm and our feet. You've got to keep your kitty snuggly.

Hi Tram Fan,
Welcome to this thread.
Your kitty Willow looks like a happy and content cat.
What a cutie pie too.
Please do post more pictures when you have time.

As for blankets,,, we let our kitties have blankets,,, towels,,,
and whatever else they enjoy lounging on.
They also have their own box house, and tent I got from
a store a few years ago.
They have everything in the house where they like it.
Visitors have to just understand that this is their home.
Here are a couple pictures,,,
one of Callie in the tent,,, and one of Callie and Brumby on their towels on the kitchen table where their permanent places are.
My wife and I have the other two spots to eat.
Best Regards,
Gary

Callie looks possessive of her tent!

"What do you want?", says a dozy cat, Missy, in winter, opening only one eye!

Hi Kevin,
Callie owns that tent.
She loves to play in it with me or Brumby.
But she sits in it more than Brumby does.

Missy looks a comfortable as a kitty can be.
And probably was bothered by you taking her picture.
Callie and Brumby give me the same look sometimes.

Best Regards,
Gary

The cat I had would hang out at the clothes dryer waiting for a nice warm fluffy towel to be taken out and would demand that you wrap her up in it. Them cats can train us hoomans good.

Hi SCEtoAux,
We know too well what you mean with the laundry.
Our kids like to jump into the basket as soon as we either take
it out of the dryer or bring it up from the basement.
They even have us trained to leave a couple towels
in it if e are lucky enough to fold the laundry before they get
in the basket to snuggle.
Here are just a few of the pictures I have taken of them doing this.
Best Regards,
Gary

I like the second picture!

------

Missy is just a grumpy cat. She is 16+! Mutters' all day, except at night when she snuggles up.
