Here's my buddy Hayduke in his favorite napping place. In his younger days he caught a bird on the wing from inside the house. He also sat and pointed out a baby bull snake inside our house when we lived in Santa Fe.

Hi Guys,
Whulsey, I'm glad you got the moth away from Ratsie Katsie. And that you did some research about it. Gotta keep our kitties safe. Asheville. I am enjoying the picture of your kittie Hayduke. Looks like he is comfortable for sure. I'm glad you all enjoyed the critter hunt Talley sheet. Here is another that we have on the fridge. It's for anyone that comes over to eat with us for the first time. I tell them to read the sign on the fridge and act accordingly. It has a picture of our Baby Girl Chloi that we lost several years ago. And it says,,, IN THIS HOUSE, CAT HAIR IS A CONDIMENT. Enjoy, Gary |

Walked out the door with my cup of coffee this morning to find a notice from the HOA management (I live in a condo) about only allowed 2 cat or dogs and also about feeding the roamers that come around. And that the next notice will be accompanied with a fine. Oh man, and I was only around a year from having this place paid off.
As discussed in detail previously I'd planned on returning to CA last year when I retired. But the house I was buying turned out to be in the middle of gang turf and was broken into twice while I was trying to do some work on it and the stuff I'd moved and all my tools stolen. Plus sort of trashed the place the second time, so turned it over to one of those "we paid cash for houses" places. So sort of stuck right now. I just know have no plan of getting rid of one of the cats. Of course has anything been done about the drug crash pad across the fire lane from me that I've been trying to get cleaned up for 4 years? Or that this was mainly an adult community when I moved in; but since with all the foreclosures during the recession a lot are now rentals with 4 or 5 noisy kids? Sorry just had to whine a bit. |

Hi Whulsey,
I TOTALLY Agree with you. Screw the damn HOA. KEEP your kitties, and tell them that they are NOT in control of how a person lives their life in a property that they have paid for with their hard work and dedication. As for feeding the roaming kitties where you live,,, KEEP ON KEEPING ON BRO !!! Just use those little paper plates that are available at Wallmart at 90 for a couple bucks. Find a local Grocery Store that will sell you food srvice gloves for 3.50 a box of 100 powder free. We buy them ten boxes at a time. We also buy the little paper bowls at Wallmart too. We use the gloves whenever handling ANYTHING for the roaming kitties. And then throw them away and wash our hands right away too. OH YEA,,, We put a small rock on the edge of the plate to keep it from blowing away in the wind. AND THEN we take EVERYTHING up at dark to keep Skunks,,, Possums,,, and Raccoons from coming around at night to feed. And that's another reason to wear the gloves. I'm sorry to hear about your problems with the gangs invading your new home. DARN HUMANS !!! Wish they could leave hard working folks alone. By The Way,,, I love the picture of your THREE kitties. Tell the DAMN HOA that Kitties and Doggies are good for your heart and soul. And that they should just let folks live. God Bless You BRO, Gary |

Get onto the HOA board!
I sympathise by the way - life is never simple and easy. Pay it off - not long to go and then what about a cheap place out in the sticks somewhere?

The problem is I guess its in the CC&R's that govern the association and property. In the state of Arizona HOA's enforcing the CC&R's on the property almost override the state government. Dates back to statehood when even writing the state constitution was pretty much controlled by a group of wealthy ranchers, landowners and developers.
And Kevin that's sort of what I'm doing, figure if I can't make California work will head up into the hills here. Besides its cooler then being stuck down here on the desert floor. Sort of been looking around up in the Globe area for people familiar with AZ, thinking about driving up there maybe tomorrow to check around. |

Finally got photos from my last trip to the Cal Central Coast in September 2014 loaded up, been a crazy 3 years since then. Here's a photo of the Morro Bay north dock cat. He just hangs out, greets people and generally lives a life that I'm jealous of.
