Sorry about your loss, sir.

After our bout with sub-zero temperatures, I was afraid I might have lost some of the feral cats, but as of yesterday, I finally saw the last of the regulars.

Calico has become mostly an indoor cat. Rat is a very affectionate male, but he is pure evil when it comes to any other cat, so even though he has the shortest hair of any feral cat I have seen, he can never be allowed in. Even in the sub-zero temps, I would go out a couple times a day and sit on the porch step, letting him sit on my warm lap and cuddle in my coat.

Urchin, Andre and Splotch have been by and this grey tom that showed up once before the arctic air has been by. I was really afraid I was going to lose at least one of them.

My GrayC girl is my oldest probably. Bootsie has been around since 2004. The vet thinks GrayC is older than Bootsie. I am really going to miss them when they are gone.

At least your other two cats have each other for company, but that won't mean they won't miss Bella. Take care.

Hi VK,
I'm glad your outdoor kitties are still making it.
Our two are as well.
I'm wondering if you have warming houses for them to stay in.
We built two warming houses for each of our outside
kitties to stay in. AND, we put electric warming pads and
polar fleece blankets in there for them a well.
They stay in their houses and we feed them right by
the back door. Like you we love them and
our two kitties inside love to watch them as well.
Here are a couple pictures of the warming houses we
built for them by our back door.
Best Regards,
Gary

Nothing like waking up in middle of night to a faceful of cat toes and kitty belly! :D

We are into winter now. Freezing. Last July a stray pitched in the garden and would not go away. Lived under a bush for 8 months and we then gave up. He has now moved in and adopted my wife who he shadows all the time. A huge cat by any standards - over 7 kg!

Very intelligent. She managed to teach him to play ball properly after a few goes and he has taught himself how to open doors! He likes watching mobile phones as well which fascinate him!

Some pics to follow...

Sounds like quite a guy. Looking forward to the photos.

Let's see, 2.2 lbs per kg makes him about a 15 pound cat.

Grumman, above, and Georgie are each a bit over 11 lbs, or around 5kg.
