No, Rat isn't neutered.

'De-clawed' was one of the reasons GrayC became an indoor cat. When it becomes obvious a female cat is going to hang about, I take them in to be fixed. I certainly don't need kittens about. When I took her to be fixed, they said she had a scar on her belly that might be from having already been fixed, but the scar wasn't in a typical location. They won't open them up to check, nor would they do any non-invasive test to check. They said that it was 80% likely that she had been fixed.

I had already been concerned about a roaming cat not having claws, but with a 20% likelihood that she could have kittens, I decided she needed to be an indoor cat

Good luck finding a VET that will do their job for your baby.
I get really upset when they won't do things for folks.

interrupt current activity for a moment to go over to the parent, say hi, sit touching them for just a minute or two then get up and back to activity.

I was at the folks' last night. Their geriatric dog likes to think of me as his best buddy (I give him car rides and treats). When I am down there, he usually sleeps in front of the door, but we had a storm, so I had a quivering dog on the bed with me.

Usually, at home, one of more of the cats is on the bed while I am sleeping, but I am not used to a 45 pound dog who wants to take the middle of the bed
