KeiCraft models from Japan

A work colleague brought me a few Japanese animal models. The first of these is the mainland stoat. Just one page A4 with 11 parts

Looking good so far. Those KeiCraft models are nice.

I think I need to find some work colleagues who travel to Japan ...

Nice work, sir. I have yet to find a Keicraft model that I was disappointed in

Very fine models!
I have one question: In case of the first model, a stoat or weasel: was there some special reason of leaving the semicircular pieces, looking like gluing tabs, on the outside? By the way, amazingly they didn't look so bad.

These tabs are by design and the cover white markings - so you cannot ommit them . looking at the real model they are hardly to see. It's not bad - but there would would have been a better solution.

Thank you! Really, interesting idea. But perhaps it is really the best solution. Inserting the tabs inside through cut lines or bending them under the glued part would not work as good. One more proof that the Japanese have as usual their own way of everything!

Neat penguin! Looks like it stands up nicely.
The medium of papercraft suits that beetle very well, with the serrated edges and all.
