Johan Scherft's Birds

Finished a few birds recently. Thought I would share. I never get tired of these well designed kits. I scratched built the stands.

Some nice builds there Toddlea. A little bit of edge colouring before assembly would make them perfect though.

I really do like your re-modeled stands. I just might be pinching the ideas myself.

Very nice. Your natural looking stands really take them over the top. Are the bases weighted with a coin, etc to make them more stable?

Stands are weighted down with lead. They wouldn't stand up otherwise. The edges are colored. Its just the photos.

Flash photography is very revealing though,eh? Try using off set bulbs or even better, natural light. Then the edges don't flare so much.
