Nice looking drumsticks. Shake' N Bake time.

I purchased that model also. Only €5 for the file. Looks like you are doing a very good job with it. Maybe do something with some ferns for a display.

Looks good. I really like how Johann textures his models. all the parts lends well together. Your version looks quite a bit lighter than mine, as mine has more green color. I used an Epson printer.

Looking good. Which such a busy pattern, the overlaps seem to disappear. Are you painting the paper edges before assembly? If so, are you painting the edge all one color, or are you trying to match the individual scales with alternating dark and light lines?

All one color!! Using a yellowish/brown pastel chalk for the edges and touch-ups. As big as this is, and with the pattern of the scales everything appears to blend in..

making up a base...

Thanks for the comments..
For the base I'm using a thick hunk of Styrofoam. To add some weight, I scooped out a section with a hot spoon (a little too much, but easily fixed).. Glued a piece of thick card to the bottom.. filled with sand, and then sealed the top. Will paint and add assorted ground cover as I go.
