Zodiac Sign - Lion

Hello Gents,
Finally, was free time so I started with next model. I started with one from zodiac sign - Lion. Also this model I printed 2x A4 pages to one A4, so model will be little bit smaller then original. I found this model on internet. I started my build with lion head and here are some first photos, please have a look

Impressive! Good sculpted bronze(?) effect appropriate for a Zodiacal creature.

Nice job! It has a really realistic sculpture effect. Are you going to make all of the zodiac signs? (I don't blame you if you dont, aren't there like a dozen?)

There are 12 Zodiac signs but in this series only 7 have been released as yet.
There is a probable 13th figure of Athena to go atop of an altar to contain them all.

They do look like excellent models, which I fully intend to build myself, if and when the medics get my fingers sorted out.

See my thread here Life Papercraft blog to see them all, and where to download them from.

It looks like you don't have to add the 'gold' doo-dads. I was thinking it would be a nice lion sculpture without the base and the embellishments.

Off to a good start

I was thinking more along the lines of hoping the Gold doodads were separate features, so that the printed texture could be improved by a gold lacquer spray paint, but I do take your point that leaving them off would give a good animal model, ignoring the Zodiac connection.

Being rather large models, I was planning to print my set using the 4 pages to an A4 sheet setting. ie: printing approximately 1/4 size. Do you think this size will be feasible Sunto?

thanks a lot for all comments
yes there are missing some small pieces in gold color on his head, also ears and teeth. I hope will be in soon time. I do not know if I will finish all 12 signs, because as said John still there are not released all signs. Will see.
Next point to size 1/4 - I do not know if will be good idea. I think will be possible make it with this scale, but some pieces could be too small, so difficult for assembly. I see it now for 1/2 printing size, teeth are now not so big. So for 1/4 size I think could be big problem with assembly of small pieces

thanks a lot eatcrow2

I continued on lions body and his legs. For this moment I finished only one leg and working on next legs. Assembly of the legs is not so easy because model is smaller version then original.

and here are some pictures from my last progress
