White Lion from Canon

After putting the head on a plaque I decided to build the model.

The model has open spaces at the back of the legs and some open spaces on the underside of the body.

Here is the punk head posted earlier:

Here are some photos of parts 1-19 assembled (You can see some of the open spaces referred to earlier.):

Nice background, eh?

The parts go together easy enough. The shape of the parts give indications as to where the glue tabs go when joining parts. A dry fit before glueing clears up any minor confusion as to the placement. Some areas have a modified alternating glue tab arrangement.

Updates sometime in the (not so) near future.

This is parts 20 and 21 assembled:

They represent the back end. A good reference to make sure you are joining them correctly are those two white curved glue points. Line them up next to each other and the glue tabs on parts 20 and 21 will naturally fall into place to glue parts 20 and 21 to each other. Those curved glue points are where the tail gets glued later in the build.

The 20/21 assembly will be glued to the previous sections, then the back legs and tail will be added.

Looks great, Doug!

And I note that the Catuli are in 1st Place in National League Central (Phillies, not so much).

Don, yep, but them Catuli looked like they were doing it in the woods last night then they managed to stumble to another win.

Here is the completed White Lion on high ground looking for hobbits and muggles and Narnians. Good eats.

Thanks, Don.
That lapidary setting is something from the World Works Games Mars Station set. A 2 inch canyon and gridless ground tile. It does look kind of lapidarious now that you mentioned it.

That's a good-looking white lion Doug. The base is fitting too. I hear Muggles are the best and juciest!

Excellent build there Doug. I look forward to building one myself even more now.

Am I to gather that the thing he's standing on is actually paper? It looks very realistic. I quite assumed it was a bit of ornamental polished rock you had handy.
