The Cardinel is among the birds in this set by Johan https://jscherft.wixsite.com/website...aper-birds-kit

and Ben Fentens has a European Jay (By Johan) http://www.kartonmodellbau.de/epages...roducts/303253 ,but I've never seen a model of the American Blue Jay. It's a beautiful bird though and I'd love to have a model of it too.

There are at least a couple of types of American Blue Jays. Here in California we have the Stellar Jay which has a top knot like a Cardinal and is dark blue and black and is found in higher elevations. And, the California Scrub Jay which is common in the lower elevations (though the ranges overlap) that is more of greyish blue with grey breast and some grey on the back, it is the shape of large Mocking Bird. The Scrub Jay is a real cocky bastige and we usually have a couple of nesting pairs in our back yard. They say (Cornell) that the California Scrub Jay is second in intelligence to the crow, they are quite clever.
