Great model Kevin. Lots of anticipation over the finished photos. Looking forward to seeing them.

Anne, thank you very much for your explanation. I guess that was it, though I did not think it was that humid.

And you have also explained why the respraying fixed it - I assume that the additional coats dissolved the old layer to a degree.

The moisture side is also interesting as I noted a few gaps where joins "sprung" after - obviously the moisture let the white glue "loosen" a bit. I have to reglue them - I was able to get to them, fortunately, to hold the parts together.

---------------------

Algebraist - thank you. I will take some quick finished pics just now.

Well, after all the last minute hassles, the finished result.

Photo 1 is just to show the scale - it's pretty big.

The rest of the photos give you a good idea of the model - I left the head loose so it is posable. At a later stage, I'll put it on a base, glue the head and give it away.

Tomorrow, I will get up early and relocate to the garden for a decent photo session with the cycad and other prehistoric type plants.

Thank you all.

I am really looking forward to my photo session tomorrow morning. I wanted the weather overcast, but it says clear and sunny - so I am now going to have to get up early........

Well, took some pics outside today - it was a bit rainy but it cleared.

Looking at them on camera I'm happy- when I can find a gap I'll download them and then post them here.

In terms of a base, I picked up a lid from a polystyrene box that holds ampules. Looks ideal - but it is very shallow so I will have to add a bit of weight,
