Elliot, Doug, Texman, Kevin and Eatcrow2 - thank you for your comments. Appreciated.

--------------------------

I did struggle with the photos - it took a lot of time to get the results here. Haven't watched the weather so closely in a long time.

Vermin King - I enjoy the snow. I wish I was there - I enjoy the snow. No doubt had I been, the dinosaur would have been rushing through snow, leaving small footprints. Or maybe I would have made a polar bear instead!

-----------------------------

Looking out of the kitchen window there is my tiny cycad that featured in the pictures. The photos with cycad were taken low down with a tripod looking back towards the window.

Other photos were taken to the right.

Elliot - it's green now as we had a lot of rain. Normally pretty dry and arid - not enough water in winter to water.

Well, for the base (for when I give the dinosaur away) I found a styrofoam lid.

It comes from a foam medication box - my neighbor put two out with the rubbish and as soon as I saw the two lids I nailed them!

The plan is to weight the base quite simply with a layer of stone chips (from the garden), and then do a spot of landscaping.........

I propped him up with a box - without the box there is plenty of space for him to move in and be centered. I will probably mount him diagonally - always looks better in dioramas then aligned with an edge.

As I haven't found a deserving home yet for the dino, I will store the two together until need - takes up less space in the cupboard!
