Once, many years ago, I airbrushed some signs and panels for a guy here in Ontario who raised Cattle.
And when he heard I was looking for a Steer Skull to paint and hang on the wall, he sent me some pieces.

Unfortunately, the skull and jawbone he sent still had flesh hanging off them! ewwww

I didn't say anything, but I tossed them and bought a plaster cast Skull!
It was easier to paint.

This paper model would have been even easier!
Although I am not a fan of the faceted polygon style surface.
Maybe try building it without scoring the parts for a smoother look?

This reminds me of some paintings by my Mother's Aunt Georgia!

Yes. My Mother's maiden name was Stieglitz. She was adopted by Julius Stieglitz. Who's Brother was Alfred who discovered, and then married Georgia O'Keeffe.

Remarkable story! Looking at examples of O'Keeffe's cow skull paintings, it occurs to me that this paper skull could be the basis of a 3-D "interpretation" and mounted as a wall hanging. The horns have to be modified -- O'Keeffe apparently used a shorthorn skull -- but that shouldn't be a problem.
