What a beautiful bird! Very well done. Perhaps a bit of glossy transparent paint can be applied to the eyes - that gives a surprisingly realistic effect. Johan's birds are artistic master pieces.

Pretty coloration, he spent a lot of time doing the feather patterns it looks to me, very nice. Erik 's idea about the clear eyes is a great one, for the birds I've sculpted I've used acrylic gloss medium it is the coolest stuff, goes on slightly milky and dries thick and shiny clear...love it.

Had to look it up: The wrynecks are a small but distinctive group of small Old World woodpeckers. Jynx is from the Ancient Greek iunx, the Eurasian wryneck. Really good looking bird, excellent job on it.
