White Rhino from "Zoo Tycoon"..

Fun build. Weathering and touch-ups with pastel chalks. Mounted on a scrape piece of Foamcore, with odd bits for ground cover. A light spray of "Future" to seal and blend it together.

Good looking rhino - and as I echo Doug on the weathering and display.

Rhinos in the wild here now often don't have their horns - they are drugged and the horns sawn off as an anti-poaching measure. Recently went on an exercise to do this to a number of rhinos.

The horns do grow back, but the exercise is well worth it. The rhinos are poached for just for the horns (used as an aphrodisiac in China).

Lions are now being poached - just for their whiskers - used for the same purpose.

Extraordinary work, it looks magnificent !! The sad thing is Kevin's comment, here in my country the poaching caused many native species to be at risk of extinction. And we say that the human being is civilized, we actually destroy everything that Nature gives us.
