Birdmobile Osprey 1/2 size

Having some technical issues today the power went out yesterday and not back yet... Spring storm! Ospreys are back from migration and lots of other birds. This well known fisherman lives all around the world, and mentioned in the Bible so has a long association with men. Yesterday I saw one hit the water and they can be heard doing this too as the dramatic speed of entry.
Malcolm Topp’s model is excellent so far as expected, although maybe over engineered in this reduced size.
I started with the head which was similar to the Merlin, and building the structure of the body.

So far, nice work with your Osprey Glen.
And . . . great action shots of the real bird in the water.

Wow, Glen! Will follow this build. Wonderful model but too large for the limited space in my house. It’s huge!

Erik
It is too big I think for a life-size model... I think photographic reduction like this one works pretty well did also for barn owl to make it small, but really needed with this one! It is a fine design though, just like the merlin

Look at those "action" shots.
You got it all . . . with the bird flying away with the fish!
Good show.

By the way: What body of water is that? Is it a lake we might recognize the name of?
Or is it a small body of water or maybe a pond?
