The Wren

I had a quick look through the Zoo but didn't find the Wren, so here's another of Johan's bird collection.

This is one of his free downloads and the standard of his art is as good as his birds for sale.

The quality of his work has been covered by all other builders so I'll not repeat all the great comments.

Great result Mike. I did the Wren a couple of years ago. In terms of number of parts it is a very simple model, but still, it requires quite some skills to build it neatly and it's not that simple at all.
Indeed, there is no quality difference between Johan's free downloads and payable ones. They're all great models to make, and very addictive.

It doesn't have a home yet. It will be joining my other birds and a lot more models at an exhibition where I work in a few weeks' time.

After that it's likely to end up on a box in the loft with all my other models.

Very nicely done, Mike, and very nicely displayed. It is a beautiful wren (although I was slightly disappointed not to see a woman in a blue uniform - possibly Edith Pargeter).

You may know that I'm a room guide (docent?) at a National Trust property. One of the people who lived there was a founder member of the WRENs ;-)
