SMS Schleswig-Holstein
German battleship launched 1906. The last of the "pre-dreadnoughts" from the designer's viewpoint. (In fact HMS Dreadnought was already undergoing sea trials by the time Schelswig-Holstein was being launched). Retained by Germany after WW1 and subsequently used by the Nazis to fire the first shots of what became WW2.
Modelled here as refitted during the 1930's. Model is supplied from GPM in 1/200 scale, here rescaled at 1/250.
