This was the first reference image I started with
I now have numerous photos of actual trucks and details of various components
and have established a basic design plan
based on this model plus the original 1940s GMC CCKW-353 Truck
and some of my own artistic license.
I am designing at 1/50 scale, which makes many components very small.
This also rules how I approach the design of some parts, since they will be difficult to assemble at this scale.
I think I also intend to include a 1/33 version of the Truck (in the files)
when its all done.
