It's not lack of experience that keeps me away from vacuum forming. Back in the day when I had my own company, we had a number of vacuum form machines, from 2"x4" up to 4'x4'. I still have a 2'x2' machine gathering dust in the garage. My problem is that I just have too much stuff and I'd need to build another small machine just to handle the very few canopies I need to form. Heat forming is quick and easy and I don't need any special equipment I don't already have.
If I was still doing p*****c models, I probably would build a new former. They are handy items!
