Thanks for the encouraging words!

I'm pretty much done cutting apart the components using Metaseq's boolean function.


The wing is pretty much intact. I'm thinking of using this as the main piece. I'm hoping if I strengthen this with formers, it will provide enough rigidity that the other parts might not need to have formers.


The left and right pods. They'll be wrapped around the wing assembly.


The same treatment is applied to the main fuselage. Well... maybe I'll need to use formers for this.

With that done, I started working on the landing gears:



Now this is where I hit a major snag.... :(
My next move was to carve out the wheel wells from the pods. To do this, I simulated raising the landing gears. Based on the Luft46 pictures, the rear gears swivel to the front, while the front gear swivels backward.



The pods were wide enough to accomodate the large wheels...
But DAMN! The front and rear wheels don't fit along the length of the fuselage. I'll need to either scale down those wheels or shorten the struts.
