I think it's something we can't avoid, whether we use imperial or metric units. Americans here would vote imperial and other people will vote metric (I personally have no idea how long is an inch). I wonder if there is a system which can accommondate both? Say 2 inch <-> 5 cm and on rulesets produce a set of imperial units and another set of metric units, or use brackets or different font to indicate the corresponding units of measure. Say:

Movement distance 50 (20) would mean 50 cm or 20 inch, which are close enough as not to affect general gameplay
