I own a pristine 1973 Cowboy Commemorative (30-30). It has only been fired a dozen times but shows no sign of it. I got it ridiculously cheap from a gentleman who was downsizing and sold it to me for $150.00 U.S., (2 years ago). The Nickel plating is beautiful and it is an extremely robust rifle. It is worth much more than I paid for it, judging buy the offers people have given me (not for sale though) and I am hoping to pop off quite a few rounds next Spring with it (I have been slowly loading up on ammo).
Not a picture of my rifle but it looks exactly like this (mine has maybe a little shinier finish on the nickel.)
