I knew that was the intent, so former A is not yet glued. It is simply in place. I will place it flush and glue a bit later.
As for the slots, it is a preference for me to cut after the part is built ( I think it forms rounder than having a slot, but that is me ). I use a sharp #11 knife and cut out it and any other areas in need.
On a separate note, I asked a fellow modeler ( in plastic ) to loan me his beautifly built B-17G in 1/48 scale. I will use it as a reference guide and later for a side by side comparison of my other thread of paper and plastic comparison.
