Thanks Ruben, that would make sense, little bigger than the Barbie Corvette

That is big. You could almost climb in and drive off in the finished model.
Almost.

Looking at this on google.... it would not take much to make this a full car. If you wanted to.

seeing that I lack a serious understanding of graphics programs, beyond just the basics, I am not really interested in making the car whole.

So you can have a proper understanding of how big this kit really is, and for only $10.95 in 1984 dollars too
My bed is a Twin XL, and I only used the middle section, losing about 2.5 feet at the ends from the pile of pillows and blankets I have on there. First picture is the parts that make up the base and background. Second is the body panels and parts of the internal structure Third is the wheels and remaining internals and the orthographic left side. Fourth is all the sheets that have score lines and some shading for parts that might be seen.

25.5 inches.
That is the total length of the underbody orthographic image, parts 1 and 2. Scoring and cutting are not that bad, just need to have a heavier touch when scoring, and when cutting, a slower drag through the paper, I also try not to recut in the same cut, I have flipped over the part, to see if the blade it through, and if I need to cut some of the connected edges. Now to ponder my choice of glue....

White glue? I'm thinking it's a big model a day this may give you chance to realign.
And maybe even also super glue as well to initially "spot fix" the odd pieces as required for a starting point? And don't forget the dry dock!

Whichever glue you decide on, get plenty of it, this thing is huge.
Good luck with you build. |
