Nice clean work Don. I would be very interested to see the differences in engines between the various kits you mentioned earlier.

You're definitely selling your building abilities short Don.
A fine impression of an Oilwind

Don,
I saw that remark you made "mediocre at best". I can only say horsepuckey to that.
Your skills are up there with the rest and will only get better.
I can't wait to see this come together!

Ron

Don,
I think this construction is excellent.
If I can take: the color is not aluminum is much more evocative.
One last thing to note: I am impressed, as Carl [Goden Bear], of the order on your desk job, you passed me a lot. :D

Congratulations.

Orazio

Don't be so modest, Don-sama. The engine looks very neat!

Don

Looks like I'm tardy to the party, but you're off to a fabulous start! Very clean and precise building techniques, and this just on a test run! I think your clean and organized workspace is just an indication of the systematic way you approach the project, and seeing how others approach problems to reach similar goals is what this forum's all about. I've no doubt I will be adding to my skill set from this build thread. Actually I already have, I need to start taking more notes.....

I'm confident your final build will be a thing of beauty.

Mike

WHOA!
I saw the "Baby Steps" in the title and kind of skipped the thread until today I finally saw Don's name as the author...
Don,
This looks pretty darn good!
No more excuses and start cranking on the Shoki - remember, I chickened out and build only the simplified version of the engine

Way to go Don! Let me add my voice to the chorus. By all means finish the complete build of this model. You've already done the hardest part. The only part I found lacking was the instrument panel. If I can find the photo that I used as a substitute, I'll send it to you.
