Good idea with the plastic. I plan to store them for 1 - 2 months maximum.
I placed the pink supper soft foam to center the models in the cutout slots and under the hulls.
The white styrofoam is about 3 inches thick so I think I should have no problems.
I will be starting the trip this Monday and will take a picture of the set up. After I arrive I will open a couple boxes to verify all is well. The lids are screwed into place.
