I don’t like too much weathering, I prefer an aspect that gives the idea of using without looking like the model has been in the trash.
For weathering, that I usually refer to as patina, I use pastel powder chalk converted to powder by sanding and applied with old brushes because they spoil with this use.

sweet! thank you so much for this info!,.. do you "fix" it with a spray? i noticed some times when clear coating the model it destroys the chalk,.. then again if is "ground in" to the acrylic paint the spray damage is minimal
