The problem is that few Japanese themselves now know that part of their national history.
So keen was McArthur to erase the perversion of Bushido the IJA had adopted as creedo, that he erased the genuine historical information along with the spurious.
Which meant that the Japanese in effect lost vast swathes of irreplaceable history.
Which results that 90% of modern Japanese would know as much about the Ancient Samurai as a modern Briton would know of preChristian Picts.
