Thanks, Don, Jeff, Wyvern! Yes, Jeff, those are real wires. The wire provided in the kit was bare wire; the wires I added were blackened annealed wire with the blackening sanded off. Pulling both ends of the wire simultaneously with pliers does a dandy job of straightening. Installing the wires was quite easy. Each wire is just slightly longer than the space between the two end holes; since there is so much empty space in the fuselage and wings, one end of the wire can be inserted deeply into either the wing or fuselage, and then the opposite end is pulled back out to the opposite hole. Both ends are fixed with a drop of CA.
