Long before I started building paper models, the picture postcards with models from something called "Fiddlers Green" fascinated me. Without a doubt, the idea of being able to make good-looking models from a picture postcard was immensely appealing. Having bought one and studied it (not sure I ever built it) I was definitely hooked - even to the point of purchasing those sweets recommended for making wheels.
In hindsight, I can truly say that the Fiddlers Green concept was one of the main influences that made me cross over from big balsa models to small paper models. I have never regretted that.
I never really registered the name Chip Fyn until arriving here, where I came to understand his impact on the paper modeling community. Thank you, Chip, for touching me as well.
