depends on my mood. sometimes for a conversation piece, I insist on only paper. I will do this sometimes with ships and rigging, cutting "rope ridiclously thin to make the rigging. Other times I will build with "household items only" meaning it has to be something in the junk drawers of the kitchen. I use uncooked spaghetti/pasta a lot on those models for piping, small smokestacks, and other small diameter cylinders. Lately I've expanded that to "free stuff" from stores, including chopsticks and the wood stirrers from the coffee shop. An all out build will also include stuff from the $1 store, the $1 store is great for all kinds of bling for ships including chain, and earring loops
