While driving from Penham, Minnesota to Omaha, Nebraska, the outside temperature hit -14 F. Seems there was a small chip in my windshield, and it decided to expand...into a huge crack. So I'm now stuck in Omaha waiting for my windshield to be replaced.
I took the opportunity to hang out with Willygoat, and get the behind the scenes tour of the SAC museum there.
I took lots of pictures, but most were taken from a designers perspective, so I won't bore you with engine exhausts, landing gear, or the back end of planes and engine nacelles
Examples of what I took, studying the KC-97
Although I did get a good shot of me holding Willygoats build of my Ryan Firebee, in front of the real thing:
Alltogrther a fun day, and a worthwhile trip. I got lots of reference material for planes that will appear soon as OBP models.
