These tank models, and especially the planes, were obviously meant to help train as many people as possible in recognising enemy craft. This is the first time I have seen any tanks - they would obviously have been aimed at tank crews and other military personel, as the pictures clearly show.
As a great many more people would obviously need to be able to distinguish between enemy and friendly aircraft, the plane models were distributed in much larger numbers. They would have been highly useful for all observers on the ground as well as in the air.

The tank models seem simpler than the planes. The planes are easily the quality of later Jade/Wilhelmshaven models - surprisingly good, in fact, given that it was all hand-drawn!
